Event February 2013 – Solar Presentation

On Saturday 23rd The Goldfields Sustainability Group held a Solar Information event at the Community Hub.

Richard King, from Energy Yield (also GSG president) presented information on grid-connect and stand-alone solar power systems and also grid-integrated back-up systems.  About 20 people, including several non-members, enjoyed the presentation and Richard fielded questions during and afterwards.

If anyone is interested in seeing a copy of the powerpoint presentation or wants a list of relevant and useful links, email Richard at energyyield@gmail.com

Information and produce from Street Harvest was also shared, including pickles, jam, dried fruit and herbs.  Bear in mind that picking season is upon us right now, so if you’d like to get involved or learn more about it, check out this link.

A number of GSG members brought afternoon tea and produce to share and swap which was wonderful.

Our next event will be an information stall and display at Talbot market on the 17th of March so come down and say g’day.  Please let Kat know if you can lend 30 minutes or an hour to help staff the stall.
